Finalmouse Starlight X SLX Australia
Starlight speed, built for first-shot control.
Finalmouse Starlight X SLX is an ultralight wireless gaming mouse made for competitive FPS players who care about weight, click timing and shape consistency. At 38 grams, with TMR-DS analog click sensing and a carbon fiber super composite shell, it is built to feel fast without feeling fragile.
A new generation
Not a shell refresh. A full rebuild.
SLX is described by Finalmouse as the largest engineering redesign in its history. The shape, mechanical architecture, wireless implementation, firmware, click sensing, RF design and materials were rebuilt together rather than tuned one part at a time.
Technical mold view
Shape first. Every surface has a job.
The SLX form is tuned around stable contact points. The goal is simple: let the mouse disappear in hand so micro-corrections, stopping power and click timing take over.
Performance layers
Lightweight, click speed and wireless timing treated as one system.
Instead of chasing a single headline spec, SLX is built around the parts that competitive players actually feel: how quickly the mouse starts, how precisely it stops, how early the click is detected and how stable the wireless link remains on a busy desk.
Carbon fiber super composite
Finalmouse lists the material density below 0.9 g/cm³, with about 70% more carbon fiber reinforcement and over 3x the strength-to-weight ratio of magnesium.
TMR-DS analog click system
A magnet beneath the clicker and proprietary TMR sensors read the moment you commit to a click, reducing physical click latency before traditional electrical actuation begins.
Unibody main cage
The internal structure moves to a 3-component unibody architecture with graphite-coated titanium screws, improving rigidity, surface continuity and mechanical consistency.
Nordic nRF54LM20 platform
The SLX wireless system uses Nordic's nRF54LM20 MCU with a 25nm process node, improved RF efficiency and 4 Mbps wireless modulation support.
Finalmouse F1 sensor
Developed with PixArt for Starlight X, the F1 sensor platform focuses on resolution accuracy, IPS, power efficiency and maximum resolution.
PerfectSync and PerfectPolling
Firmware aligns sensor polling, MCU processing, RF transmission and USB output without smoothing or buffering that would add extra delay.
RF and receiver engineering
Wireless that was designed around the desk, not just the mouse.
SLX introduces a puck-style receiver with a raised metal antenna system for improved radiation efficiency and signal integrity. Inside the mouse, the antenna is moved northward, a ceramic chip antenna is used and the RF pass-through chassis is refined for stronger signal integrity at lower transmission power.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers before you choose.
Who is SLX for?
It suits players who prioritise fast stopping, low fatigue and very light movement for games like Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Apex Legends and other aim-heavy FPS titles.
Is 38 grams too light?
If you prefer a planted heavy mouse, SLX may feel sharp at first. If you already use lightweight FPS mice, the low mass helps with starts, stops and quick corrections.
What makes the click system different?
The mechanical switch still provides the feel, while the TMR-DS system detects click intent earlier through magnetic sensing. It is designed to reduce the slow physical part of the click chain.
