YUNZII X98

The YUNZII X98 combines a 96% layout with a number pad, rotary knob and transparent-design keycaps. KEYDOM's version uses pre-lubed Snow Linear switches, with QMK/VIA customisation and hot-swap sockets. With RGB enabled, light shows through the keycaps; the tint, legends and overall appearance depend on the selected White, Pink or Black finish.

96 keys with the number pad included

The X98 places its number pad beside the main typing area, with arrows below and a knob at the top right. CSA-profile keycaps have transparent details, with tint and legends that vary by finish. RGB shines through the clear areas when enabled; the keyboard looks different with the lighting switched off.

Snow Linear switches, ready to type

KEYDOM's X98 uses pre-lubed Snow Linear switches, with 3.6 mm total travel and a 52 gf bottom-out force, each with a stated tolerance. Hot-swap sockets accept compatible 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, so you can replace them without soldering. South-facing LEDs sit beneath the keycaps.

A gasket mount with five internal layers

A gasket-mounted assembly holds the switches above a slotted plate. Five sound-dampening layers sit inside: plate foam, IXPE switch foam, PET film, a PORON pad and a silicone dampener. Under the case, adjustable feet provide three typing positions, including the position with the feet folded away.

Volume at the knob, shortcuts on your keys

Turn the knob to adjust volume and press it to mute or unmute. QMK/VIA lets you change knob functions, remap keys and create macros. You can also adjust lighting settings, including the RGB effect around the knob, when you choose to switch the lighting on.

Three connection modes and receiver storage

Choose Bluetooth, the 2.4 GHz receiver or USB-C wired mode. Bluetooth has three selectable pairing channels, and Windows and macOS modes have separate shortcuts. The receiver stores behind a plate underneath the keyboard. An 8000 mAh rechargeable battery supplies power when you use the X98 wirelessly.

Frequently asked questions

Which switches come with this X98?

KEYDOM's current X98 listing specifies pre-lubed Snow Linear switches. The hot-swap sockets also accept compatible 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches if you choose to replace them later.

Does the X98 keep a number pad?

Yes. Its 96% layout has 96 keys, including a dedicated number pad, plus a separate rotary knob. The model name is not the key count.

Will every colour look like the illuminated photos?

The White, Pink and Black finishes differ in tint and visual details. The lit effect shown also depends on RGB being enabled and on the chosen colour and brightness settings; an unlit keyboard will look different.
