MOONDROP CHU III pairs a 10mm dynamic driver with a compact metal housing and a replaceable cable. This is the 3.5mm wired version: a straightforward choice for everyday listening from a compatible headphone output or portable DAC.

Inside each earpiece, an aluminium-magnesium alloy dome composite diaphragm works with an N52 neodymium magnet and a CCAW voice coil. The 10mm driver is the centre of CHU III's compact acoustic design.
A metal finish in black or silver
The cast zinc-alloy housing keeps the earpiece compact, with a protective surface finish and a shaped inner face. Choose the black or silver finish to suit your setup. A good ear-tip seal is important for both comfort and bass response.
Brass at the acoustic outlet
A CNC-machined brass nozzle forms the final part of the acoustic path. MOONDROP combines this nozzle design with its driver and housing tuning, rather than relying on the driver specification alone.
Tuning with a measured reference
CHU III is tuned with reference to PopAvg-DF (JM-1), using a B&K 5128 measurement system. The published response curves show the intended balance; fit, ear tips and your own ears still influence what you hear.
A cable you can change
The 0.78mm 2-pin connection makes the cable replaceable. Use the supplied 3.5mm connection with a suitable headphone socket, or choose a separately purchased compatible cable for another setup. CHU III itself is not a Bluetooth earphone.

Is this the 3.5mm version or a USB-C earphone?
This listing is the CHU III 3.5mm wired version. For a phone without a headphone socket, use a compatible USB-C or Lightning DAC adapter, purchased separately.
Can I replace the cable?
Yes. CHU III uses a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin connection. Check the connector shape and physical fit when choosing a replacement cable.
Does CHU III have Bluetooth?
No. It is a wired IEM. Any compatible Bluetooth adapter shown in product photography is a separate accessory, not part of this 3.5mm listing.
